The Importance of Aftercare

Your hearing is a dynamic thing - it doesn't stay the same. Typically, your hearing will deteriorate by a few percent, sometimes a bit more, every year.

As a result, if you're wearing hearing aids, they will need fine-tuned and adjusted from time to time. There's no "set it and forget it". Filters will also need changed, domes cleaned or replaced, earmould tubing gets hard and needs replaced after a few months. If these things are ignored, the performance you get from your hearing aids is seriously impacted.

That's why ongoing aftercare is important. At Borders Hearing Care we pride ourselves on our aftercare - taking time to check in with hearing aid users at regular intervals after they've purchased from us. That way we can keep on top of the adjustments that are required, and ensure that you receive high quality hearing for years and years.

Buying a hearing aid off the shelf, or the internet, or from someone who takes no further interest in you once the sale has gone through, MAY be cheaper up front, but will mean that your hearing - and thus your quality of life - will - likely within a few months, not be as good as it could be, and you will likely have to pay for aftercare from somewhere else.

Choose Borders Hearing Care for the best aftercare and ongoing support.
